Mirage Rock, the new record from Band of Horses continues great streak that Ben Bridwell and crew have been on since the very beginning. Leaning more on acoustics and collaborating with producer Glyn Johns, the fellas are finding comparisons to America this time around, as well as the Americana tag. We caught up with Ben and Brian during the DeLuna Festival in Pensacola, FL to talk about the new tracks and much more.

Photo Credit: Andrew St. Clair Band of Horses (@bandofhorses) played two big shows last night - the first being a sold out acoustic show at Manhattan Center and the second an electric show at Hammerstein Ballroom. Not including a 10 minute intermission, the band played for just over two hours at Hammerstein. Frontman, Ben Bridwell told the audience that between the two shows, they set out to perform every song they ever recorded. Check out the photos and setlist from the electric show below.

You know, I've never fully understood why people go to a venue like Massey Hall only to stand throughout the show. There are seats. These seats are relatively comfortable. The sightlines are good while sitting. So why stand? I guess it's just people in the rock show mentality. Jason Lytle is on tour with Band of Horses and prior to setting out, Ben Bridwell sent him a " vocal, drum, guitar " demo that he'd recorded in a hotel in Milan asking if he wanted to " add some whatever ".
