Burns ends up the summer with a new EP named "Teknique", his third EP this year. Together with the title track there are two more songs that also are remixed my Fred Falke and His Majesty Andre . Something a bit different for this holiday Monday. The 80s was a time of looking to the future (cos everything was a bit shit then) and this was reflected in glossy, futuristic T.V.. This post originally began as a collection of cheesy theme songs, but eventually grew into a mass of songs from the soundtracks of movies I love and adore. A good majority of them are 80s classics since I was born in '81, but there are some newer and older gems mixed in too. I had a lot of fun gathering them, since just hearing them brings back tons of good movie viewing memories (read as: makeouts). The Warriors, in my opinion one of the finer films out there, had everything in it that a growing boy needs, and more, but it still interests me now. I recently came across a set of programmes about the making of and the stylisation of the film, it was technically very well put together, the camera work and some of the eerie scenes (the Jones Street gangs roller-skater!). But there was all the little stuff, the choreographed fights, the amazing lighting, the costumes, and one of the most important things in films, the soundtrack.
