The Battles track "Africastle" gets touched up by Kode 9 in this new remix off the band's 2nd remix 123. There are two more 123s to come in this remix series; plus, Battles is planning on putting out a CD compilation of these remixes as well. The title: Dross Glop . As we've mentioned a couple of times, Battles are putting together a remix package called Dross Glop gathering mixes of their album Gloss Drop from all walks of the musical wilderness. Today we get to listen to another take on their track "Africastle" from Kode9 which whill feature on the release that's now set for release on April 17th via Warp . Give the remix from Kode9 a listen below and jump over here to check out some you may have missed.

Warp continues to push release the Battles Gloss Drop remix series with this flip of "Africastle" courtesy of Hyperdub chief Kode9. It maintains the original energy of the track, only this time channeled through a club focus and stretched out over an epic seven minutes. If for some reason the original didn't make you want to move, the remix should fix that. This is featured as part of the second 123 record of the remix series featuring remixes from The Alchemist and Shabazz Palaces . We touched on the first whispers of the Battles 'Gloss Drop' remixes back at the tail end of January with Shabazz Palaces the only producer confirmed for the four part 123 vinyl series.
