Alright. Let me just say that this Beach House video is totally amazing. It features Ray Wise, best known for his role as Laura Palmer's father Leland Palmer in David Lynch's epic Twin Peaks series. "Wishes", directed by Eric Wareheim, is equally as imaginative, other-worldly and surreal as Wise's famed role. Wise assumes the role of a pep-rally coach or head figure; he also takes over Victoria LeGrand's vocals, lip syncing her part in the song. Acrobatics, cheerleaders and other pep-rally-like activities commence, but something's not quite right. [...]

Everything about this. Everything. I don't know whether to take it as an outsider fantasy, social commentary on professional sports, or an expansion-of-brand idea for Medieval Times . Either way you slice it it is fantastic. More of this. And a turkey drumstick, thank you.

As we noted last week , we were both intrigued and disconcerted by the arrival of the new Beach House video for "Wishes," which features the ever-terrifying Ray "Leland Palmer" Wise lip-synching to the song as he directs some sort of weird gymanstic-centric cult meeting in a sports stadium. It's the latest in a series of pretty awesome videos from Beach House, and it got us thinking about other bands who've really embraced the medium as an art form, making consistently great videos over the years. Recorded over the past year, splitting time between their new home of Los Angeles and Sonic Ranch (Animal Collective, Beach House, At the Drive In, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), the bliss-duo  Houses  are set to release their second album,  A Quiet Darkness  on April 15th via Downtown Records. Ahead of the release, the pair have unveiled the wonderfully carefree video for the first song on the album,‘Beginnings’, directed  Dan Monick , capturing a moment of pure joy.
