Almost a year to the day since Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away from throat cancer, the MC will receive a permanent tribute in his hometown of Brooklyn: a park named in his honor. The New York Times is reporting that the two surviving members of the Beastie Boys have signed a deal with Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau to write a book about their three decades together. The book is expected in 2015, and journalist Sacha Jenkins will be editing. Michael "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, the two surviving members of the Beastie Boys, are co-authoring a memoir of their time in one of the most important hip-hop acts of the past three decades.
