While the name Blood Warrior sounds more like a Slayer cover band than indie-folk outfit, the newly formed collective featuring O'Death frontman Greg Jamie, Super Monster's Joey Weiss, and Mirah's Kristin Kellas and Rubin Berger are indeed the latter. And come November 3rd, the New York band will look to emphasis this fact when it releases its debut 73 on November 3rd via EJRC . We've missed the ol' Knitting Factory . There have been reports that the legendary New York venue would move to the old Luna Lounge space (which only a few years ago was the new Luna Lounge space) at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsbug neighborhood in Brooklyn. Well, it appears that the new location in finally opening on September 12 with performances from Mucca Pazza, Beat Circus, and Larkin Grimm. Doors will be at 8PM and tickets will be $10 in advance (or $12 at the door).
Next week, Consequence of Sound will hit Chicago for this year's Lollapalooza. What we have in store is still being finalized, but rest assured you'll want to stay tuned.
