Beck has revealed he's close to finishing a brand new album. Having spent the last couple of years largely focusing on soundtracks, collaborations and, er, releasing a book of sheet music, the American musician is finalising the follow-up to 20082s Modern Guilt . Following the imminent arrival of his Song Reader album through McSweeny's this December ( on sheet music no less ) - Beck has announced that he's working on a standart format album. Good news for those fans of Beck who can't read music and/or prefer not to listen to their new Beck album as performed by a magazine staff . It's nice to be pleasantly surprised once in a while, and Free Reign , the new album by UK band Clinic, has been on high rotation here at Flavorpill of late. We've always rather liked Clinic's work, but we'll be honest — we didn't expect to enjoy this record nearly as much as we have been.
