Bor du i København? Musikkollektivet Copenhagen Collaboration , bestående af Alcoholic Faith Mission, Before the Show, Cody, From Sarah, Hellraiserten, Monkey Cup Dress, My Name is Legion, The Ondt and the Gracehoper, Sleep Party People & Stærosaurus vil fortolke hinandens numre på kryds og tværs af bandkonstellationerne.
Crossing the border, late, as of course I had to wait for a lady, I looked forward to tomorrow (which is now today's) escapades at Sasquatch. As we were approaching the border guards, I glanced over from side to side and spotted the fellow travelers on their way to Quincy, Washington's Gorge extravaganza. Sandwich ingredients, sleeping bags and coolers filled every other backseat, and scruffy haired, bearded (apart from the ladies, well, some) fans seemed set on visting the festival. It was at that point that I wondered about my hotel booking, having not investigated far enough, [...]
The 2010 Music Alliance Pact flashback Every month throughout 2010 I've had the pleasure of being able to represent Denmark in the awesome blog network Music Alliance Pact (MAP), now featuring 36 blogs from 36 countries around the globe who have joined forced to bring people a free taste of what's going on musically in their respective nations on the 15 of every month. It's the gift that keeps on giving, and for this year-end retrospect I thought I'd share the 12 [...]
Given my total absence from this blog over the past three weeks, I don't suppose it'll be any surprise to hear that I didn't have time to contribute to this month's MAP either. So for the second month in a row, my England contribution comes ghostwritten by MAP organiser Jason ...

This month's whothehell.net's entry for the MAP has been selected by Matt Hickey ARGENTINA : Zonaindie Eloisa Lopez - Espiral This is one of Zonaindie's favorite tracks from 2009. It was taken from Eloisa's third album, Por Un Paisaje. Maybe we like her so much because she manages to elegantly combine acoustic textures with native South American percussions and digital sounds. Espiral is a great [...]
ARGENTINA : Zonaindie Eloisa Lopez - Espiral This is one of Zonaindie's favorite tracks from 2009. It was taken from Eloisa's third album, Por Un Paisaje. Maybe we like her so much because she manages to elegantly combine acoustic textures with native South American percussions and digital sounds. Espiral is a great example of this, and yet an unbelievably catchy tune that has Leo García as a guest vocalist. What else could you [...]

Once more, here is this first MAP of the new decade, January's edition of the Music Alliance Pact . For those of you who don't know about MAP, it's a collection of music blogs from around the world who band together once a month to shed light on up-and-comers from their home countries. It's sort of like the WTO without the human rights violations. After the jump you'll find music from 35 nations spanning the globe. If you'd like to be considered for this feature, drop by the comments section with a [...]

The Music Alliance Pact is a collective of 35 of the world's top music blogs and webzines from 35 countries spanning six continents. Every month, each of these 35 sites picks one hot local song that gets posted on all these great blogs and zines. This month we picked Mumbai singer-songwriter Noush Like Sploosh 's '3 Act Circus' as the Indian representative on this massive international indie mixtape. The song is featured on Stupid Stupid Stupid and is a pretty good measure of the work of one of our [...]

It's the 15th of February, Music Alliance pact day! Music Alliance Pact (MAP) is a collaboration between 34 blogs from all over the world, and every month, each of us present a new band from our country. All presentations are put together in this huge blogpost, and presented on the same day in all the MAP blogs. Massive promotion for the bands! Today, MAP is presented with an interview in the UK newspaper the Guardian. It should be online on their website today. My favourites this time includes Norway (of course), Argentina, Australia (wonderful [...]

Some people do their good worldly deeds by tirelessly seeking out the truth among the lies, or by turning their carbon footprint into a tiptoe, or making asylum seekers feel welcome. As much as The Pop Cop aspires to make a difference, to be something better, for now you'll just have to content yourself with the Music Alliance Pact, which takes you on a 35-stop journey through seven continents on the 15th of every month, bringing music from the untapped reaches of Estonia to the beach fronts of Copacabana and the back alleys of Beijing. [...]

Kumm - [...]
it's always been a great thrill introducing the finest local talents to an international audience through MAP . this month, we're especially excited to be attacking your ears with the ferocious sounds of stellarium , as handpicked by our local music ambassador brian koh . even as we speak, their recently released self titled album is generating interest among shoegazers abroad, with one listener describing it as "what [a place for burying strangers' latest album] exploding head should have been". heads up everyone - this is one Singaporean act you shouldn't miss.
