After a wait of approximately forever, the Behling & Simpson project finally kicks off proper this week with the release of the Politics EP on Futureboogie. Four tracks of low-slung house, disco and deep house, spanning a range of tempos that covers the extremes of both 'slow' and 'quite slow', this EP has been supported by all the great and the good and would appear to have sold out at Juno on pre-sales alone . This cheeky little fella crept out without us even noticing. Anyway, fire up the speakers and give this a blast. It's the Behling and Simpson remix of Emptyset's collaboration with Cornelius Harris of UR fame. This represents the first B&S track since it was decided that 125bpm was a bit overly hectic and that the sub-aquatic tempos down around 110 were much more exciting. As such, it's a moody, slow-mo builder, with a growling analogue bassline that even has the likes of Ewan Pearson salivating . Bass Music heads [...]
