Brand new Austrailia act Bel Air , have showcased their broad range of sound in their two debut tracks “Song A” + “Taste”. The former is a desolate heartbreaker that uses a droning guitar to help us get in the right frame of mind. The arresting melodies bleed pure emotion as we feel as if we are walking down a city street late at night with our lonesome selfs. On the completely other end of the spectrum, “Taste” is a stadium-ready anthem with it’s stingy riffs and massive chords. The last minute is as [...]
Bel Air is a side project of Michael Belsar, an independent artist based out of Australia. He chose a really difficult name to Google without seeing Will Smith's face. Luckily, the two songs that he has released so far are really good and also very different from each other. "Song A" is a subdued tune with forlorn lyrics and a mesmerizing, airy backdrop. "Taste" is a dense and stadium-ready jam with crunchy guitar and more forward vocals. Let's just hope these songs get big enough for a "Bel Air" Google search to be feasible.* *Google [...]

Ultra-new indie act Bel Air recently hit the scene with no doubt one of the better songs this month, "Song A." It's raw, sad, acoustic, melodic and the perfect cure for a brutally sunny day.
There are two great triple bills of local talent this week. Tomorrow night at the new Antone's location on East Riverside there is a tasty pop/rock sampler of a show featuring the twangy, rootsy tales of MaryAnn , infectious, melodic rock from The Couch and the dreamy, bossa nova flair of Belaire . This is an eclectic, top notch selection of bands to satisfy all your pop/rock cravings. - The other [...]

Although Good Field released their self titled debut in early 2012, this month's re-release is notable as all the songs on the album have been remastered and put on glorious vinyl. To celebrate this occasion, the band is holding their vinyl release party in Austin this Friday at Holy Mountain (don't forget to enter our ticket giveaway ; a winner will be drawn the day of the show). They are also embarking on a brief US tour leading up to their official SXSW showcase. If you like what you hear, [...]

When I sat down to list my favorite songs and albums from 2012, Austin bands were all over it. I'm going to take that as a sign and share the local favorites that I listened to repeatedly. There's no special ranking or order here. It was harder than I expected to narrow it down to the Top 11. These are the bands that made an impression on me this year and give me reasons to be a music fan. I hope you'll discover new favorites and check them out in 2013. [...]

"Paradise is further proof and assurance of Del Rey’s pervasive artistic talent..." Lana Del Rey | Born To Die: Paradise Edition Rather than a transitory trending topic, compelling in her revamped image (those lips!), Lana Del Rey has emerged as an artist within her own right. As The Paradise Edition – a re-release of her debut aired alongside of smattering of newer songs – sees the light of day 11 months on from her debut, it is not her transformation from Lizzie to Lana that is garnering attention, but her work. A [...]

Lana Del Rey is a little music video mastermind. Top honors have to go to her "National Anthem" visuals starring A$AP Rocky as JFK, but her most recent for "Ride" was straight captivating as well. It has nothing to do with the fact that she's uh, easy on the eyes, ... Read More

Lana Del Rey didn't complicate things in the video for her new Born To Die: Paradise Edition track "Bel Air." A far cry from the high-concept Americana lushness of "Ride," the "Bel Air" clip is just Del Rey twirling in plumes of smoke, saturated with alternating hues. Certainly, we would have welcomed something more ambitious as a visual accompaniment, but we weren't expecting a video in the first place, so even four minutes of Del Rey's porcelain visage is enough. Maybe it's fitting that "Bel Air" is basically a lyric video [...]
Lana is one of those artists that you love or you hate. Whichever road you take you cant hate those lips of hers. Born to Die: The Paradise Edition drops 11/13.

Depois de algumas semanas sumida, a cantora Lana Del Rey reapareceu ontem para divulgar o clipe de Bel Air , uma das faixas bônus de Born To Die: The Paradise Edition .
Lana Del Rey is in the zone! After booking some more venues due to fan demand (and it's easy to see why), she released a new video - Bel Air. As we're already used to, it's a breezy, somewhat mysterious, but all in all beautiful tune, with a video to match it. The post Lana Del Rey releases new video: Bel Air appeared first on ZME Music .
