Ben Folds has had himself quite a prolific career. The world first became familiar with his quirky brand of alternative piano-rock through his band with Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee, Ben Folds Five . After their three albums and a rarities compilation, Folds went on to add three more LPs and and an equal number of EPs to his catalog under his own name. Tack on his numerous collaborations with the likes of William Shatner, Regina Spektor, author Nick Hornby, Amanda Palmer, and more, plus his work on films, and it’s clear Folds’ cup over flows with material. Oldie but a goodie that I just recently heard once again and have been playing it nonstop like it was a brand new song all over again. If you follow this site then you probably know that I am sucker for covers , especially acoustic covers that really expand upon the vibe of the original track at hand. And this cover of Modest Mouse's "Float On" by Ben Lee makes this song so laid-back and relaxing it literally feels like you are in the middle of a dream while listening to it. [...]

Love it with your wallet. I also love Ben Lee . Ben Lee makes me feel like everything really is going to be okay. I go completely quiet inside when I listen to him sing. If Ben Lee soundtracked my life, I just know [...]

Ben Lee: Deeper Into Dream
You could call the latest album from the former wunderkind a "concept album", but that's meeting it more than halfway. Ben Lee's new album Deeper Into Dream starts with a spoken-word track that seems to establish just how literally we'll be venturing "into dream" over the next 45 minutes.
