Benga is best known for his work with Magnetic Man and their 2010 dubstep anthem I Breathe Air . It was a track that helped to bring the genre to the mainstream, but since then things have changed. 'Chapter II' is the London producer's second full LP - an LP that lacks the soul of Rudimental , the humour and invention of Skrillex, or the cinematic vision of Nero . Haven't been impressed of what Benga has offered up lately but I must say, I really like this new single called 'Forefather' that drops today (buy off iTunes ). 'Forefather' will be featured on Benga's upcoming album "Chapter 2" that drops the 6th of May and features Kano. Listen below:

Benga is back. With the release of his forthcoming album set for 6th May Benga has returned, with Kano in tow to deliver another helping of crushing dubstep that has already been labelled 'The Hottest Record In The World' by Radio 12s Zane Lowe. 'Forefather' will feature on Chapter II , as well as being released on limited edition on 20th April to coincide with Record Store Day. No doubt this will be a smash.

I'd just hung up from a rather frustrating work call when this new banger from Benga and English emcee Kano came through the inbox. The timing was perfect. I was ready to snap, but now I'm just snapping at the neck as I bounce around and thrash awkwardly in my office to "Forefather." When discussing Benga back in December, everybody's favorite D.A.D. curator Khal pronounced that "2013 should truly be his year to shine." The seven-minute sneak peek gives fans insight into Benga's followup to Diary of an Afro Warior , set for an April 22 release after multiple push backs. Complete with the dark eerie sounds listeners have grown to associate with the UK producer, he starts out with old school dubstep vibes before moving into a grinding bassline. Skream and Benga are some pretty crazy dudes, most evident in their latest interview with Noisey's Back and Forth series. The two dive into a number of topics, including when Skream got spiked with acid on a plane, or when Benga streaked across a stage. Not only that, but they absolutely shit on the genre known as EDM. It is good to see some guys like this take that particular topic so humorously, as we have certainly e xpressed our feelings on EDM for quite some time.
