Ugress er et av Gisle Martens Meyers (bildet) prosjekter i regi av det egendrevne plateselskapet Uncanny Records. Bergenserne har rukket å gi ut fire studioalbum. Det første, Resound , klatret helt opp på andreplass på VG-lista i 2002, og solgte mer enn 20.000 eksemplarer. Låta "Loungemeister" sørget dessuten for at bandet ble kåret til Årets Urørt samme år.
