Big Sir are Lisa Papineau (who has sung with Air and M83) and Juan Alderete, bassist for The Mars Volta. After five years they return with an new album that covers some spectacular musical ground, Und Die Scheibe Andert Sich Immer . It's a trippy, ambient experimental pop album that just burrows in and festers the musical genes of the mind and body. Nice stuff. Good grooves, celestial vocals, colorful vibes all around. In case you didn't get the hint last week that Lisa Papineau is back for her semi-annual reunion with Los Angeles, we're here to resend the memo. As far as we're concerned, her move to Paris was one of the greatest losses of the decade and so these brief revisits must be savored. This of course meant being stagefront for Big Sir's first show in three years at The Airliner. Despite approaching
