52 years ago today a song was recorded in New York that has been given credit for the start of Rock and Roll. Bill Haley and the Comets recorded Rock Around The Clock. It has always been considered the cornerstone of Rock and Roll, although Rocket 88 is also mentioned by a lot of historians as the real first Rock and Roll record. Something I did not know...
