
As I'm sure you blog-happy art-house contrarians know by now, Shepard Fairey was arrested last night on the way into his opening night gala at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston . The show - " Supply and Demand " - was Fairey's first major museum endeavor, and was a big deal for this city, which, despite having a thriving art scene in some regards, isn't exactly Brooklyn or Paris, if you know what I'm spraying. Well I did it. I waited `til after Thanksgiving to post my Christmas mix. So far a lot of these songs are from last year (or years past), hell I even recycled the photo from last year's post. I'll do my best to update this mix as new songs appear. I love these songs. They are some of the best Christmas songs you're likely to hear and for a large part they are ones I've dug up first. Bill Kelly's new record, Bread On The Waters , has already been popping up on the top ten year end lists of Americana fans.
