Friday (3/11) at 8pm, Grace Central, 237 W. 2nd Ave. Mallonee will be playing with his wife, Muriah Rose, so it should sound something kinda like this video. Here's a Q&A I did for TOP, and some Vigilantes music if you're not familiar (1999 album produced by Buddy Miller, features Emmylou Harris, etc.): Tweet

No, folks, I have not given up on this blog. I sincerely apologize for not living up to this blog's name this year. You'd think at least one post a month would be easy enough. For various reasons that I won't bore you with, I just wasn't able to. My second job has taken up so much more time this year than it did last year. Which is a good thing...extra money is always good. It seems in today's economy you either are out of work or you are working more for the same [...]

If you are a fan of literate americana rock you have no doubt heard of The Vigilantes of Love and Bill Mallonee. But maybe not; Bill and his band have labored in relative obscurity for over a decade now, all the while producing a great body of work. (See a VOL & Bill Mallonee at amazon) They always promised to be just around the corner from breaking out to a bigger audience but never have quite yet. Bill Mallonee will be doing a solo show at the Intersection, July 29, 2008 at 7pm. [...]

March is a special kind of month. I think outside of the Christmas season, this is the most holiday enriched time of the year (and don't tell me Christmas is just one day...we've already been around that topic!) This month we have (just to name a few)... ●12 Girl Scouts Founded ●16 Palm Sunday ●17 St Patrick's [...]
Song obsessions are those songs that we listen to on repeat. I noticed that my obsessions are often a week long. I also thought that other people might have similar obsessions. I've collected a panel of a few like-minded individuals and gotten their "song obsessions of the week." Quite often it's easy to explain why the song is good; it's much hard to explain why we're obsessed. Maybe you'll become obsessed with one of these. - Adrian ( me ): Fanfarlo - You are One of the Few Outsiders That [...]

vid link: http://one.revver.com/watch/38 3381/flv This is a song by a guy name Bill Mallonee called Double Cure. I have loved this song for many years. I saw Mallonee's group 'The Vigilantes of Love' , only one time....but had followed VOL many years before. 'Double Cure' is up there on my top list of all time songs. There is a lot of passion in the lyrics and music. The struggle of walking your talk, overcoming the life of a hipocrite, being the man of God [...]
Here's a list of links from Chris Carder. But first, if you ever google , msn , or yahoo chris carder you'll notice one of the paid ads almost always associated with my name. as of yet, this link does not have any Chris Carder Music, thus a warning label is in order: Carderville Dependent Artists (a swicki - a search community) You Can get Trust Now [...]

I would love to meet him one day. You can find his website here . Bill Mallonee t00-m0ch, Chris christophercarder.com song: [...]

Ah another week has passed, which means it is once again time for my weekly concert calendar of the Baltimore region. I must admit that things are looking pretty sad in Charm City this week. Fortunately there is enough life in the outlying areas to make this week worthwhile. The lone concert of note that I have to report in Baltimore this week is fortunately a good one. On Wednesday night, The Ottobar has a bill featuring Aloha , Rahim [...]
