Back in the '90s, Billy Bragg and Wilco had full access to the unrecorded songs of Woody Guthrie. They set the to music and the result were the two Mermaid Avenue albums. This year would have marked Guthrie's 100th birthday, and as such those two record are being repackaged with 17 previously unreleased recordings from those sessions for the set Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions . The box set comes out on Record Store Day , April 21st.
