Well done, Bird Automatic ! The new EP from the sympathic band from down under reflects their notable qualities in songwriting. A sound not far away from easily associated Death Cab for Cutie. The Aussies have given the world a handful of bands that made an impact on American audiences: Midnight Oil, AC/DC and INXS. It's been a long, hard road for Sydney band, Bird Automatic , but they have finally arrived with their debut EP. Intitial impressions ( and reactions ) suggest that it was worth the effort. I've always liked Bird Automatic's live shows. In fact, the last few times I've seen them, they were incredible. But it's always felt like something was missing. Take Pills - Panda Bear This comes off Panda Bear's brand new album, Person Pitch, which is a spectacle to say the least. The style is similar to Animal Collective's though I would say it's more powerful, tribal even.
