I'm a month or so late with this review, but here it is: Back in 2007, I was really impressed by The Broken String , Bishop Allen's second album. The sound was quite distinct from that of their rougher-edged first album, Charm School , and it was that collection of songs (some of which had previously appeared on Bishop Allen's twelve EPs of 2006) that won me over.
