Bridging off his recently released Neon Hurts My Eyes LP, UK producer Natural Self released a bonus accompanying mixtape Neon Hertz . In the mix, he included a few of his own originals, along with tracks from Colin Stetson , Thom Yorke , Beak> , Portishead , Bjork , and plenty more. Happy Daft Punk day! To celebrate, here’s my video for my fresh mashup of Daft Punk’s Giorgio by Moroder with Everything But the Girl’s Missing. It uses footage from Björk’s All is Full of Love directed by Chris Cunningham, the found footage short “Robbie” by Neil Harvey, and footage of the recent Annular solar eclipse in Pilbara, Australia shot by Colin Legg. Together they create a melancholic story of robot love, longing and betrayal.
