Ester , the first album from the bent British indie-pop crew Trailer Trash Tracys, has finally arrived on our shores. And to mark the occasion, we've got a remix of their track " Candy Girl " from New York experimental mainstays Black Dice, who turn the track into staticy, chaotic fizz. Download their reworking of the song below. Read More...
Out of everything Brooklyn has to offer, punk experimental does not get any crazier than Black Dice . This category of music might seem absurd and annoyingly loud to many but to the others, this is pure party sounds. Along the lines of Japanther and Dan Deacon , Black Dice are the potential godfathers of this distorted electronic twist to punk rock. They began this absurd takeover in 1997 and the trio will release their sixth album, Mr. Impossible on April 10th, via Ribbon Music . Our first discovery on Black Dice [...]

The chaotic sounds of Black Dice will return once again on April 10 when the band drops Mr. Impossible (Ribbon Music), its sixth studio album. Rather than improperly describing the experience, here's the band's official line about Mr. Impossible: "The album is the soundtrack to a substance-fueled teen basement show ... on Mars." If you're [...]

Black Dice make smart music for smart people. Actually, I'm not really sure, but on April 10th, the New York punk trio of Eric Copeland, Bjorn Copeland, and Aaron Warren will release their newest album Mr. Impossible through Ribbon Music. The band claims that the new album is the soundtrack to a substance-fueled teen basement show on Mars , and that's just...great. Continuing their trend of psychoactive audio-visual weirdness, Black Dice have released a video for Mr. Impossible 's first track "Pigs". Watch it below, but be warned that it may induce [...]

It's been a while since we've heard from Black Dice, nearly three years to be exact. But a new album, Mr. Impossible , was finally announced earlier this week and with that news came "Pigs", a delirious blast of disorienting noise that dissuades any notions that the band has lost their touch in the interim. If anything, "Pigs" is one of Black Dice's more catchy, accessible songs since their "Cone Toaster" experiment; it's abrasive and brash, but still makes room for melody and a head-nodding groove. If "Pigs" is any indication of Mr. Impossible as a whole, [...]

Punk band Black Dice are set to release their latest album Mr. Impossible April 9th, and have just put out the video for 'Pigs.' The psychedelic acid trip of a video pairs Butthole Surfers visuals with equally trippy effects and an industrial groove. Check it out below:

Plus a music video for "Pigs".
Having just signed to Ribbon Music for the release of their forthcoming record, Mr Impossible , out on April 9th Black Dice have posted this rather crazed and colourful video. The track is called Pigs .

Mr. Impossible is said to be a mutation of the Seeds' punk primitivism, Funkadelic's extraterrasial throbbing and the Royal Trux's discordant rebelliousness and consistant with what once expects from Black Dice. NYC experimentalists Black Dice have announced their sixth full-length, Mr. Impossible , due this April via the Domino-imprinted Ribbon Music label. Its first single, "Pigs," hits like a mutated, post-digital " Warm Leatherette ," and it has a video which looks very much like a Black Dice video. (The band directed it themselves, naturally.) Brooklyn noise-rock crew Black Dice will return with their sixth LP, Mr. Impossible , on April 10th via Ribbon Music. Spanning nine tracks, the album is billed as a "soundtrack to a substance-fueled teen basement show on Mars" that explores the "uncommon ground between The Seeds punk primitivism, extra-terrestrial throbbing of Funkadelic, and discordant rebelliousness of Royal Trux." Ray Bradbury's inner punk rocker would be thrilled. As an early taste, check out the music video for the track called "Pigs". To match the bass-heavy waves of distortion, the accompanying visuals are like an iTunes commercial directed by Timothy Leary. [...]
