If you haven't heard Severance Package , it's about time you did. Now. The trio from Chico, Cali just released the video for "All Down Hill" from their 7-inch of the same name. The clip-directed by the band's bassist/voxist Robin Indar-tosses a rapid succession of images that all seem to point toward the ills of mankind. It's not pretty, but it sure is fun to look at. In the grand scheme, Black Fork lasted about as long as one of their songs. The band got its start in the small East Bay town of Emeryville, Calif. (between Berkeley and Oakland) playing punk at the speed of light. They soon found themselves part of the scene at 924 Gilman Street in the mid-'90s ... that fertile little culture club where bands like Blatz , Operation Ivy and Green Day had kicked out their poppy, sardonic jams.
