For Valentine's day this year, AC Entertainment decided to give its fans one of the best loving gifts any music festival-goer could ask for, the lineup for Bonnaroo's 11th year. Wild Cloud Nothings Editition This week's Hump Day Power Play started around two songs: Cloud Nothings' "No Future/No Past" and Wild Nothing's "Chinatown". From there, it only made sense to through in the likes of Yuck, Black Lips, and Beach Fossils. Bonnaroo officially dropped their lineup today, and it's no slouch. The festival will run from June 7-10 in its usual spot in Manchester, Tennessee. Headliners for this year include Radiohead, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Phish. The bill also sports a reunited Beach Boys crew, and some guy named Bon Iver who happens to be trending after winning best new artist at the Grammys. I've never been to Bonnaroo. I've always wanted to go but I never had the money/didn't have the time/wasn't impressed by the line up. But I am making it my mission to get down to Tennessee this year for the 'Roo because, dammit, I wanna listen to good music while on lots of drugs. Diamond Rugs is a band made up of two guys from Deer Tick plus members of the Black Lips, Los Lobos, Six Finger Satellite and Dead Confederate . The Gaye Blades' first album is out now on Norton Records , and the track "Don't Get Married" alone makes picking it up worth it. Atlanta brethren Gentlemen Jesse Smith and Jared Swilley of The Black Keys split songwriting duties on The Gaye Blades debut LP, released last September. It's a classic affair that puts grimy pop and punk finishes over highly melodic 1950s-inspired rock 'n' roll. As far as I can tell, the album only exists on vinyl pressed via the good folks at Norton Records, but it's well worth the near bargin bin pricing at just ten bucks.
