Un temps The Stalkers puis Spice, la formation de rock progressif britannique Uriah Heep adopte finalement son nom de scène en hommage au méchant personnage du roman David Copperfield de Dickens. En 1970 sort Very 'eavy... Very 'umble , le premier album d'Uriah Heep et la critique se déchaîne, Melissa Mills, chroniqueuse pour Rolling Stone déclare même "If this group makes it I'll have to commit suicide. From the first note you know you don't want to hear any more". Pourtant l'opus est [...]

I'm officially not doing an albums of the year list. There have been so few that I wholeheartedly enjoy, I'd have to do a top 10 that starts at 8. But that is not to say that there wasn't some exceptional new music this year. Click HERE for my favorite tracks from 2011. I'm hoping that 2012 will pick up the pace, but if not, I'll just further recede into the vintage music that I love so much. I hope you enjoy listening to the mixes as much as I like making them. Black Milk & Danny Brown - Black & Brown EP Fat Beats Records: 2011 Black Milk is the best producer in the game right now, and in the past few years Danny Brown has brought the most distinct style to hip-hop since those loose crack rocks chafed Lil Wayne's oesophagus. Both have had a great year. Milk teamed up with two of rap's most intimidating diplomats to release a critically acclaimed album in which his fresh, thudding beats outshone and outlasted the occasionally repetitive rhyming content of his peers. What Brown did to [...]

Danny Brown is my pick for breakout rapper of 2011, and I am completely biased. I first met Danny in 2008 when he still wore jeans a few sizes too big and still had braids. But he was always the weirdo [...]

A.Dd+ is a Texas-based duo that I first got turned onto this past summer. Their bio describes their style pretty nicely: Quirky yet streetwise, fun-loving yet dead serious, A.Dd+, the duo of Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy . . . [has] a recipe that falls somewhere between UGK's downhome Southern cooking and the abstract vibes [...]

2011 has been a big year for both Black Milk and Danny Brown, and they're punctuating the year with their anticipated Black and Brown EP, which dropped November 1 on Fat Beats Records Read more »
A new music video for the track "Black and Brown," which originally came off Black Milk's 2010 album, Album of the Year , but now it's been released once again with a new set of collaborative songs with Detroit MC Danny Brown. I reviewed the new EP right here last week. The EP's title is Black & Brown and it's out now via Fat Beats .
Vídeo oficial de Black and Brown , colaboração entre os rappers Black Milk e Danny Brown. O projeto por enquanto consiste apenas em um EP, lançado no 1 de Novembro pela gravadora Fat Beats.

It's been a minute, but now I'm back in it. Truthfully, I went away from the compilation game for selfish reasons. If you've browsed around Blind I in the past year or so, you'll know that I do my artistic thing. The deeper I got into my craft, I found myself with less & less time to check out new artists. But your hunger was strong for a staple that we've been known for since 2006, and we weren't about to let that just drop so quickly. So I decided to smack myself in the face a few hundred times, [...]
With an EP already released, here comes the first video from the collaborative effort of Black Milk and Danny Brown . For the lead single "Black and Brown" you see the pair taking it in turns to put down their bars in a movie theatre. A nice video for an even better song. Check it above and head on over here to pick up the Black and Brown EP.

Though "Black And Brown" first appeared on Black Milk's 2010 LP Album Of The Year , it set the table for the collaborative EP Black And Brown , a release where Milk and fellow Detroit rapper Danny Brown join forces. Now, "Black And Brown" gets a video that features both MCs stuntin' in a rowdy movie theater. Check it out after the jump. Read More...
Thursday, November 3, 2011 Once again Fun Fun Fun Fest is here, and I'm more than ready. Below you'll find 10 bands that should be on your list of stuff to check out for at least a minute. By the way, I'm assuming you already know to catch bigger acts like Slayer, Ted Leo, Spoon, Tune Yards, etc., so I didn't bother going over any of those. Enjoy. PS - Tickets for the festival are still available. Get on that already. [...]
