Supreme avant-garde electronica brain grinders Black Moth Super Rainbow are on a relative mission. The band's most recent output, Cobra Juicy , a hypnotic blender of sultry synths, spacey vocals, and curiously inventive hooks, becomes a much more ambitious project when you look at what the band is doing for it. 35 Denton Music Festival has revealed its preliminary lineup for 2013. Notable acts include Thurston Moore's Chelsea Light Moving, Killer Mike, Thee Oh Sees, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Sleep, Roky Erickson, Astronatualis, King Khan and the Shrines, Emeralds, Mac DeMarco, Reigning Sound, Delicate Steve, and more. Although the beloved psychedelic synth-rockers offer a few new tricks this time out, a majority of Cobra Juicy sounds exactly like their past few albums -- not that there's anything wrong with that. If you want to get really bitter about it, one could argue that Thomas Fec has made one hell of a career out of sounding like Thomas Fec.
