image: Patrick Wack I have to admit that I became a great fan of We Are Enfant Terrible since their first gem popped into my ear. That's the reason for dropping this post as a commitment of our everlasting listenership to the french trio of electro-pop-trash² with a touch of 8bit, created in May 2008. Keep your eyes open for catching these kids on stage performing live with Guitars, Drums and re-programmed Nintendo. We heard they'll be on tour through October, hitherto existing dates after the jump: show [...]

Gosh, I hope the title was grammatically correct and everything. Anyways, I just started learning Korean this sem and I have to say that it's kinda gotten really difficult as of late. So I come home, all mentally prepared to do some much needed revision and I realise I'm just not motivated anymore and so I looked to the internet to renew my love for the language. I wanted to watch a Korean drama at first but this would mean that I'd never go back to my revision because if I start from episode 1, I'll never get my ass [...]

It has been a long time coming, but definitely worth the wait with 2 discs worth of electro-pop to electro-noise perfection. As per usual, some of these you will know and others you should. Passion Pit are tipped to be huge this year (even by the BBC) and this remix puts some better beats behind it. Little Boots offer some more of their beautiful electro-pop and Yukseks puts his golden electro touch on Tommy Sparks. The Random (as a duo and Tony Roballo on his own) also offer [...]

It's Music Alliance Pact time again. If you're a regularish reader you should know the script by now. Our aim is to get one music blog from every country in the planet to share their favourite song of the month by an artist from that nation. All the text you see below the picture of the bonnie Scotsman is written by each individual blogger and then replicated on each site on the same day, give or take some intercontinental time differences. Thanks to the additions of Brazil, Chile, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore and [...]
AMERICA : I Guess I'm Floating Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele [...]
O "Posso Ouvir Um Disco?" AMERICA – I Guess I'm Floating Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele – 26 Miles Mississippi-based Dent May has
It's once again time for the best songs in the world. The group of contributing bloggers continues to grow for MAP as does it's worldwide presence (recent press from Rolling Stone among others). These are songs from around the world but not world music and that's one of the things I like about this project. This is not music that is pandering for the NPR "world music" crowd. It's music from around the world influenced by the host countries and their local cultures but not controlled by them. Enjoy these songs, there's a .zip file at [...]
initiated by jason from the scottish music blog the pop cop , the music alliance pact (MAP) is a coming together of music blogs from all over the world sharing their favorite local songs on the 15th of every month. i'm waking up to... is proud to be the singapore representative for this project, so i'd like to take this opportunity to introduce a new contributor to the team (now that makes 2!), brian koh , our local music correspondent who'll be contributing to MAP every month, on top of a forthcoming column featuring [...]

First off, I apoligize for the Google ads, I will try and sort it out so they are the most appropriate and non-offensive and what-not. I have to pay the server costs somehow, this happens to be the easiest way. But still I am sorry, I hope it doesn't interfere with anything, and/or you could always close your eyes when you see it. So you're not affected by targeted marketing. Oh lord in the depths if this might occur. Second, fuck you Google. If the material posted on a blog are legal keep your filthy fingers off it. [...]

I love it when you're thinking that you can't find anything new out there and then wham, something like this comes along and hits you square in the chops. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's Black Skirt , all the way from, you guessed it, France. It's a little bit of Kavinsky, with a little bit of Danger and a dash of Valerie (or just a lot of Moroder), and it's very very good. I'm thinking he'll be one too watch in 2009. HIGHEST RECC on these too. Black [...]
