I was running a bit late and only managed to arrive in time to catch the final two songs of first support act Black Black Hills, all pounding, intricate percussion and deep, gravelly vocals, falling somewhere between Grinderman and LCD Soundsystem. Despite only catching their last two songs, I was hugely impressed; I heartily recommend checking out their debut single "The Celebration". Second support Cymbals play jittery and minimalistic punk-funk / electro, a slightly more shambolic and lo-fi take on the style popularised during the post-punk revival seven or eight years ago.
