I know I could probably say this every week but damn, this past week was so killer for new music and news in general. Jai Paul's whole album-but-not-really news ran the show for a few days, as did all the fake leaks of Daft Punk's new single with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. Thankfully, that track, "Get Lucky", finally arrived . We are very proud to bring you Detroit-based producer Black Noi$e 's debut release on Potholes Music, the $$$ EP. FACT described lead single "Jester" as "uneasy" and a "treat for fans of off-kilter beats that bounce"-we couldn't agree more. That sentiment rings true across much of $$$ , a five-track foray into sounds Black Noi$e calls on as inspiration. There are distinct house and techno influences running through the EP, though hip-hop pokes its head through on closing track "Win Win". "'96 Knicks" serves two distinct purposes for Queens crew World's Fair. For one, it's the final leak off the Peter Rosenberg-hosted mixtape New York Renaissance , which drops tomorrow. Additionally, the straight-up burner of a track is the lead single from the collective's upcoming album, Bastards of the Party . Oh, and did I mention that it's produced by Potholes Music's own Black Noi$e ? Chyeah. Listen below. Gotta love that 50 Cent/Camp Lo-inspired hook.

And a big reason for his prevalence these days is steeped in two distinctive occurrences: a wealth of hilarious interview clips and perhaps even more remixes of his work. Have you heard the latest from Sun Airway ? We saw " Close " a little while back, but now here's "Black Noise" off the album Soft Fall , out October 2, 2012 on Dead Oceans. Jon Barthmus describes the track as "a love song to the silence of a radio turned to dead air" and as "unintentionally the most 'pop' thing he's ever done. The band begins their fall tour with M83 in Miami tonight, plus upcoming tourdates with Pure Bathing Culture in October.
