Tony Rotten carries the Rapper Tag torch, taking over from Rodney P and leaving it open for his righthand man K9. This could very quickly end up in a cul-de-sac of nostalgia and favouritism. Someone who's released an album in the last 12 months should get this next.

Big line-up for one of many remixes of Bad Boys , an anti-popo track from ex-So Solid member Swiss. There's also a video for the newbies remix, featuring Charlie Sloth, G Frsh, Krept, Dru Blu, Youngsta (U-God's doppelgänger) and Pariz 1.

Former So Solid MC Swiss is pushing a street-activist angle with the track Bad Boys , which he put out at the end of last year. He's embarking on an awareness campaign called Bars & Bars to let the youth know their rights when stopped by the police - and this is part of that. Fair cop. This remix has a really strong line-up, but it's not even possible to make out whether its any good or not since the sound quality is terrible. I can only assume Swiss isn't responsible [...]

Armed with a plethora of guests Dap-C alongside producer Dirty Sweet brings you 'Street Karma' on NGU records. This could be an album but apparently it's not - it's a mixtape. Click on the picture to see the flyer in more detail. The gist of it is that Blak Twang is launching his album 'Speaking from Xperience in London on the 5th of October. He'll be performing and so will K9 and Tor amongst others and Mr. Million Dan will be hosting. Big.

Reviewing a CD without listening to it isn't standard procedure (for me anyway). But when it's a compilation CD supposedly containing genre-defining tracks it's a credit to the compilers that listening isn't necessary. And what more would you expect from the worlds original rap magazine? 'Hip-Hop Connection Presents Recognition 20 Years Of Fire-Starting UK Rap Anthems' is 20 tracks of…well; the title is pretty self explanatory. As usual the Wolftown crew are on their grind. The latest offering from their midland camp is the '100% Exclusive Mixtape & DVD'.
