Locating Languis Los Angeles' Languis released their sixth album, Fractured , May 6th on Plug Research . On this album they continue their experimental psych rock ways playing heavily effected (or affected) music. What captivates me is that they fly all over the place, but always seem to return home to a streaming steady psych groove. The natural comparison is to early Floyd, and I second that motion. Right now I'm feeling more of a Dan Deacon basking in the sun on some remote California beach metaphor. Less city grit and more sand and waves. [...]
