IFF Boston 2012 by Julie Stoller HERE'S YOUR TICKET - It's that time again for the Independent Film Festival Boston – an eight-day extravaganza of carefully selected, top-shelf films. This year, they celebrate their 10th anniversary with over 100 selections. Mike Birbiglia's " Sleepwalk With Me " opens the festival tonight. That will be followed by a Q&A with This American Life host and producer [...]

Normally music documentaries focus their attentions on a band, or a event or a genre. With that being said, there is nothing quite normal about Ginger Baker, who is the subject of the new doc Beware Of Mr. Baker. The 92-min doc, which was four years in the making, tells the story of legendary, influential and cantankerous drummer, who is best known for his time as a member of Cream and Blind Faith, but also recorded with everyone from Fela Kuti to Johnny Rotten's post-Sex Pistols project PiL to space-rock band Hawkwind. [...]

Last week when AC Entertainment and Superfly Presents dropped the initial lineup for the 11th installment of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival , one of the acts that immediately caught our attention was Spectrum Road - an impressive super group consisting of legendary bass player Jack Bruce (Cream, Blind Faith), keyboard wiz John Medeski (MMW, The Word), guitar-virtuoso Vernon Reid (Living Colour) and drummer Cindy Blackman Santana (Lenny Kravitz, Santana). Our first thoughts were that the band was potentially a one-off, but today Billboard filled us in a bit more on the details. The [...]

For today's Live performance we'll have to go back, way back in time, to the late sixties, when Supergroup Blind Faith, the temporary alliance between Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Rick Grech took to the world stage, and the one at Hyde Park, for their very first concert as "Blind Faith". Blind Faith Live @ The Hyde Park Concert, London, England UK was recorded Saturday, June 7, 1969. Read more »
Today we bring you a bit of a crossover act - heavy drum and base, dubstep, electro, but truly a sound all their own. We've posted Chase & Status tracks before, but in my opinion, they didn't capture the same thing that these tracks do. Start with Blind Faith, one of their newest eargasms, and make sure to crank the volume. Chase & Status - Blind Faith Chase & Status - Let You Go feat. Mali Chase & Status feat. Delilah - Time (Kev [...]

This is two concerts from Blind Faith from 1969. The group debuted at a free concert at London's Hyde Park on 7th June 1969. This version of that concert comes from a 'Mid Valley Records' CD bootleg and in our opinion has a better audio track than the DVD film of the concert released in 2006. The second concert was recorded at the Konserthallen/Liseberg, Nöjespark/Göteborg, Sweden, on the 18th June 1969. The audio source was an audience based reel to reel tape recorder, and considering the age etc is really very good quality. [...]

Last week, we dedicated all of our Song of the Days to the more Super of Rock and Roll acts. There truly aren't enough days in the week, so we rounded it out with a few more tunes to make this most super of playlists. Never before have we pulled together a playlist with this much collaborative talent, and we will be hard pressed to do more going forward. Check out the playlist below, along with a brief explanation of each tune. The Traveling Wilburys - Handle With [...]
Blind Faith was the original Super Group featuring Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker, and Ric Gretch. This tune features Winwood on lead vocal, and a rare(at the time) look at Clapton on acoustic guitar.
No, I'm not endorsing this American indie flick that just opened last week: Nor am I hyping this Chilean movie from a couple years ago: I do think if y'all haven't seen Super Size Me (starring Burley O), you should check it out: But c'mon people, this is a MUSIC blog........... And thus I would [...]
In Portland, Clapton shows why he is regarded as a master of the Blues.

Most of you are probably familiar with this recent Chase & Status track. If you ask me, the original is horrible. Don't know if I enjoy the direction Chase & Status are now going in but what can you do. They mastered Drum n Bass, introduced loads of people to Dubstep, but now not to sure if I like the somewhat corny poppy approach they're taking. But here is a remix that saves this song. It only makes use of the good vocal part in the song, and MJ Cole puts in his signature sound, with a heavy crunchy bass, [...]

If you've heard Chase & Status' latest offering, Blind Faith , you will already, perhaps unwittingly, have heard Liam Bailey who provides the vocals. Now, he looks set to make it on his own with his gorgeous soulful music. His voice is rich and velvety, and current single You'd Better Leave Me Darling sounds like contemporary Motown. It's a refreshing, retro twist on the R'n'B flooding the market at the moment, as he creates an uptempo, emotional song speaking of a man's uncertainty, and this vulnerability is endearing. If further proof of his credentials as an artist [...]

Here are two tracks off of Chase & Status' new album No More Idols. The original of Blind Faith and Brixton Briefcase featuring Cee Lo Green. Both are great tracks and we have them for you here in 320. Chase & Status - Blind Faith Chase & Status - Brixton Briefcase
The classic Traffic album is back again with some bonus treats.

UK dubstep/dnb producers Chase & Status may be going on a musical ride unlike any they have gone in the seven years of their existence. Despite the fact that every legit dubstep producer of the past few years is a prayer away from superstardom at this point, Chase & Status have already been doing some pretty big things, including work with Rihanna on her Rated R album, and now it's being rumored that they're going to be working with Britney . The future is bright for Saul Milton and Will Kennard. Their most [...]

TRACKLISTING: Blind Faith ft Liam Bailey Blind [...]
