While tuning into ElectricArea, on Sirius XM , on my ride home last night I heard an EDM track that made me take the radio volume up a couple of notches. The song titled "Bliss" was by a Dutch DJ named Erik Arbores. Once the track was over I was in pure astonishment. Erik Arbores was only 14 years old. Halifax's Southern Shores , a duo whose Atlantic EP captured my summer's essence, is back with an end of the year gift in the form of a beautiful remix of Melbourne's Wintercoats . Already immaculate, James Wallace's 'Forest of Lovers', off his Sketches EP , gets a tropical rerub courtesy of his Canadian labelmates over at Cascine . Writer and artist Kay Cola releases another track Ex (Bliss) co-written by Busta Rhymes the Conglomerates J-Doe (Danity Kane, Cassie, Jhene Aiko etc). I'm on the fence about this track right now. Kay Cola has a beautiful voice but when it's doubled on tracks it can sound a bit off. This is not the best Kay Cola track I've heard but it is definitely worth the listen.
