Acid Blues Club (Aka: ABC ) does a lot of remixes of taking the original song and make it something new, something better, something insane, something to die for. I couldn't find to much out about this guy, all i know is that he's from Belgium. The Belgiums always seem to make good music. One of his heaviest hitters is his remix of The White Stripes - "Blue Orchid." Enjoy! Follow ABC's here Soundcloud [...]

While there's a sea of groups today mixing the brash delivery of garage with the blue-eyed soul of 60's girl groups, it wasn't such a crowded field back in the original garage wave. Though the boys dominated the field of pouty lipped rockers and fuzz-toned romps, the girls could do it just as well as any tight-trousered lads. These girls paved the way for quite a few of RSTB's current faves. Big love to Romulan's Girls in the Garage series here. Collect the whole set if you're down. [MP3] The Belles [...]

good afternoons, people! today we're going all the way back to the 80's for this comp known as c81. c81 was compiled by nme journalist roy carr and rough trade pr dude christopher rose for the 5th anniversary of independent label movement in the uk and of course to show off rough trades wares. more info can be found here , via wikipedia. there's some real awesome stuff here, but of course there are a few turds too. but of course what might be pure shite to may, may be golden to you. so its all subjective. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... ... Riverdale High's goth population . A more clean-cut and wholesome coven of children of the night you'd be hard pressed to find. I'm not really seeing a "clique," so much as two Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts who've purchased black trenchcoats at the local Kohl's in order to impress that one girl in the drama club. You know, the one who swiped her older sister's Best of Bauhaus CD and who writes angsty poetry about how hard it [...]

It's the mysterious floral avenger, Black Orchid! First introduced in Adventure Comics #428 (July-August, 1973), the Black Orchid combined a standard set of superpowers (flight, super-strength, imperviousness to bullets) with a heavy aura of mystery. No secret identity or origin for the character was given in her three issue Adventure run or in her brief stint as a back-up feature in Phantom Stranger , and nearly all of the stories made use that mysteriousness to set up plot points revolving around wrong assumptions about her true identity. "Wait, if you're not the Black Orchid, [...]

Where was I? Don't even ask. Lana is busy with school. She is also looking for a job, so if you know anyone who wants to hire a pretty girl to file her nails (and maybe do some music marketing and promotion on the side) get in touch. Stuart is busy with being busy. Actually, Stuart is busy fronting an indie-rock band we've just signed to Unfamiliar Records . They're called The Two Koreas [...]
