S.A.S. reunite with Cam with help from Nore. Valley Of Kings is the first glimpse of the North London duo and Seattle production outfit Blue Sky Black Death's joint album, Celestial. Valley Of Kings w/ SAS featuring Cam'ron & P.A.P.I. (NORE) by Blue Sky Black Death

For Blue Sky Black Death 's next album, they have teamed up with rapper duo S.A.S. for Celestial . Our first taste of the project is "Valley of Kings", a vast, airy cut featuring two NYC heavyweights. Cam'ron and P.A.P.I. (formerly known as N.O.R.E.) both show up for some bravado-heavy verses and serve as seasoned counterparts to newcomers Mega and Mayhem of S.A.S. I'm trying to find out more about them, but all I can gather is that they're apparently from Narnia (lol) and have some great taste in producers. Peep the track below. [ via ] [...]

Is there a more fitting name than "Frownin" for a track that features both the knuckle throwing knucklehead and a man who supposedly carries around a jar of his bar fight victim's teeth? Not in this realm of existence. We all know Gunplay, but let me introduce you to Isaiah Toothtaker, Arizona MC and calcified structure collector. Co-founder of rising hardcore clique Machina Muerte, Toothtaker has been getting some press among the heads, but has been largely ignored by the more pop oriented folk. Kind of like Gunplay. Both rappers hit like a lyrical shotgun and are some of the [...]
Download: Gunplay & Isaiah Toothtaker - FROWNIN (Blue Sky Black Death Remix) Literally everything about this song makes me ecstatic. You've got Machina Muerte don Isaiah Toothtaker, the "human cocaine shoestring" Gunplay and "cloud rap" producers Blue Sky Black Death. On one song. If everything about this song wasn't already interesting enough, remember that this is the remix. The original version hasn't even been released yet . Weird, right? But would you expect anything less than strange from any of these guys? We don't. Side Note: Toothtaker supposedly achieved his nickname [...]

While a Gunplay and Isaiah Toothtaker track wouldn't normally be my cup of tea, Blue Sky Black Death slides in to provide a swift remix treatment. "Frownin" was undoubtedly rough to begin with, but BSBD build lush, yet rugged layers of dark synthesizers and percussion to transform the banger into something entirely different. Yeah, this track knocks, and it is up for free download as well over on Bandcamp .

I accidentally covered the wrong Deniro Farrar yesterday, something from their previous project, a mixtape called C ity of Death.... my bad. I knew he had some new shit out, knew it was with BSBD but still managed to fxck it up. It's right this time. There was a video drop followed by a loosie, or maybe it was the other way around but you could grab the mp3 for Danger over @DJBooth.net .

If you're just tuning into this Deniro Farrar x Blue Sky Black Death collabo, this video is a live performance of all parties on the track, so yeah, that's Child Actor on the hook. Stream/ buy the tape, Cliff of Death on bandcamp . Grab his newest project while you're at it, The Patriach . Bounce 2 The Fader .
Deniro Farrar’s "This Is It" isn't from his new album The Patriarch, but from his collaborative EP with production duo Blue Sky Black Death, Cliff of Death, which preceded it. "This Is It" is indicative ... read more

One of the more slept-on projects of last year was Blue Sky Black Death and Deniro Farrar 's Cliff of Death EP. Maybe it arrived too late in 2012 for people to pay attention and stop looking at year-end lists, but it's still getting the push it so deserves. You can thank all the artists involved for that, as they're highlighting the Child Actor-assisted "This Is It" with some slick visuals. The video is somewhat erratically paced, which is interesting given the hazy production and Farrar's straight-ahead rhymes. But it works extremely well to get the [...]
This is a Blue Sky Black Death produced track, which has Raider Klan's very own Key Nyata flowing jazzy, while Ethel Wulf gives us a mean hook. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Mariachi el Bronx perform at the Paramount on Tuesday / photo by Brittney Bollay With everyone descending on Austin this week for SXSW, that usually leaves things a bit bare in the cupboard. Luckily there are still some good choices for the folks staying at home. Things start with The James Hunter Six at Triple Door on Monday night. Tuesday night, there's a great show at the Paramount Theatre with Flogging Molly, Mariachi El Bronx , and Donots and then we have Star Anna, Jason Dodson & Kevin Barrans, and Erin [...]

Back in 2008, Seattle rapper Sadistik released his powerful debut album, The Balancing Act . Since then, he went on to collaborate with other artists, including A Kid Called Computer and Kristoff Krane, while painstakingly piecing together his sophomore full-length. And this past Tuesday, said album finally arrived in Flowers for My Father . The record, which is dedicated to his father, is filled with sharp, insightful rhymes from both Sadistik and his guests. Additionally, there are notably engaging beats from several PIMB favorites, including Kno, of CunninLynguists , and Blue Sky [...]

Like Clams Casino, DJ Burn One and others before them, Blue Sky Black Death have released a tape of previously rapped over instrumentals for public scrutiny. Like Clams Casino (and DJ Burn One to a lesser extent), the Seattle duo's Euphoric Tape is an unabated success as a solo entity, proving that their talents far surpass the role of backing agents. The tape is made of "instrumentals" (most are full-fledged songs in their own right) previously used by Nacho Picasso, Key Nyata, Deniro Farrar and a host of other MCs. "Love My Life", previously featuring Pepperboy, stands up especially [...]

Over the past year and a half or so, Seattle's Blue Sky Black Death have dropped notable collaborative albums with Nacho Picasso and Deniro Farrar . The production duo has also provided beats for other MCs, including Pepperboy , Donnis , and MondreM.A.N of Main Attrakionz, among others. And to truly let their work shine, BSBD compiled some of their best recent instrumentals and packaged 'em up nicely on Euphoric Tape . Typically, projects like this can feel jumbled and thrown together, but these guys aren't your typical producers. [...]

Sadistik - Flowers For My Father Fake Four Inc.: 2013 Remember when rappers were poets? When there was incredible substance and reflection in rap lyrics? When you weren't allowed to "rhyme" the same word three times (Juicy J rhymes "people" three times in a row on :Who Da Neighbors")? When albums were released in tangible form and you held a little booklet of lyrics to examine? Rap doesn't seem to be like that much anymore. The rappers most non-fans are familiar with are the ones who are on TV, all over the internet, on the [...]

The best remixes tend to be the ones that make you actually appreciate the source material. While I can't say that I'm suddenly a fan of Brit-rockers 1975, I am loving this syrup-coated remix of their "Intro/Set33. It's handled by none other than Blue Sky Black Death , the Seattle-repping duo who could make even the most grating song beautiful. From the crashing drums to the atmospherics, everything here is soothing and soaring.

Exciting new Manchester band, The 1975 are giving away a collection of remixes based around their last EP, Sex , by the likes of Ryan Hemsworth, Hackman & Andrea. The remix pack also contains 2 previously unheard remixes from Blue Sky Black Death & Plan. Get the remix EP now here .
