For Blue Sky Black Death 's next album, they have teamed up with rapper duo S.A.S. for  Celestial . Our first taste of the project is "Valley of Kings", a vast, airy cut featuring two NYC heavyweights. Cam'ron and P.A.P.I. (formerly known as N.O.R.E.) both show up for some bravado-heavy verses and serve as seasoned counterparts to newcomers Mega and Mayhem of S.A.S. While a Gunplay and Isaiah Toothtaker track wouldn't normally be my cup of tea, Blue Sky Black Death slides in to provide a swift remix treatment. "Frownin" was undoubtedly rough to begin with, but BSBD build lush, yet rugged layers of dark synthesizers and percussion to transform the banger into something entirely different. Yeah, this track knocks, and it is up for free download as well over on Bandcamp .

I accidentally covered the wrong Deniro Farrar yesterday, something from their previous project, a mixtape called C ity of Death.... my bad. I knew he had some new shit out, knew it was with BSBD but still managed to fxck it up. One of the more slept-on projects of last year was Blue Sky Black Death and Deniro Farrar 's  Cliff of Death EP. Maybe it arrived too late in 2012 for people to pay attention and stop looking at year-end lists, but it's still getting the push it so deserves. Back in 2008, Seattle rapper Sadistik released his powerful debut album,  The Balancing Act . Since then, he went on to collaborate with other artists, including A Kid Called Computer and Kristoff Krane, while painstakingly piecing together his sophomore full-length. Over the past year and a half or so, Seattle's Blue Sky Black Death have dropped notable collaborative albums with Nacho Picasso and Deniro Farrar . The production duo has also provided beats for other MCs, including Pepperboy , Donnis , and MondreM.A.N of Main Attrakionz, among others. And to truly let their work shine, BSBD compiled some of their best recent instrumentals and packaged 'em up nicely on  Euphoric Tape . The best remixes tend to be the ones that make you actually appreciate the source material. While I can't say that I'm suddenly a fan of Brit-rockers 1975, I  am loving this syrup-coated remix of their "Intro/Set33. It's handled by none other than Blue Sky Black Death , the Seattle-repping duo who could make even the most grating song beautiful. From the crashing drums to the atmospherics, everything here is soothing and soaring.
