
Some Pixies fans will tell you this album invented alternative rock. Others will say it invented indie. Regardless, what remains clear is that Doolittle helped is still revered by musicians today. Bluebottle Kiss played a pretty special show last night at the Manning Bar. They played their third and final show featuring the entirety of their new double album, Doubt Seeds . I have yet to pick up the album and had only heard five songs from it heading into last night's show. So, for me, my first listen to the album was by the band, accompanied by a horn section, keyboardist, four female backing vocalists, and a second drummer playing the whole damn thing live without an intermission.
