Earlier today, the kindhearted folks behind AT&T's Blue Room sessions released the performance schedule from this year's Lollapalooza [ link ]. Yes, despite all the controversy surrounding last year's Pearl Jam censorship/"where did Eddie's comments re: Bush go", AT&T Blue Room will again be broadcasting a number of this year's weekends performances live, however, with the exception of Wilco , it appears that none of the biggest names will be participating in the webcast, which can be found here . Anyone caught complaining is a whining effer, as the first day along [...]

Day one in a crazy attempt to post 5 Christmas songs every day till Christmas So I had this crazy idea (and some extra bandwidth) to post 5 Christmas songs a day till Christmas. Get on board my friends, today we will start off with one inspired by Borat's NOT jokes . Hey you song writer, creative name for a Christmas song..could you be any more obvious? But no, really, these songs are awesome: Death Cab For Cutie - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) [MP3] (Mariah [...]
By: David Schultz The John Popper Project kicked off their fall tour at New York City's elegant Canal Room this past week. Reuniting for the first time since laying down the tracks for their self-titled album , Blues Traveler frontman John Popper, his band mate bassist Tad Kinchla, drummer Marcus Bleecker and turntable wizard DJ Logic spent the evening getting reacquainted. The Project took the stage without fanfare, easing their way onto the stage during Logic's half-hour long opening DJ set. Although not svelte, Popper looks much healthier than he [...]

This weekend is Lollapalooza out in Chicago, and sadly I don't have the bucks to cough up for another trip to the Windy City. Instead, I've put together a little mix of some of my favorite artists that will be playing the event. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope those of you that are going take lots of pictures, bootleg lots of songs, and take plenty of videos. Anyway, here's the mix have a great weekend!!! Nada Surf - "Popular" Iron and Wine - "Such Great Heights" [...]
Thunderstorms have been rolling through the Chicagoland area since yesterday evening, so hopefully the weather will cool down a little for Lollapalooza this weekend. That would be a very good thing after more than a week of 95+ degree days. I'd like to know which of you out there are actually going to Lollapalooza? I know that MOKB Dodge will be there, but what about you? Let me know and I'll see you there. Oh yeah, check out Blues Traveler's interesting cover of The Clash. Hmmm.... [...]
