Blur 's strong performance at last week's Coachella festival has resulted in a last minute headliner swap-out with the Stone Roses at the second leg of the event this weekend. It probably didn't help that most festival attendees didn't have the slightest clue as to who the Stone Roses actually were, reports from their set indicated a very thin crowd. Both camps have been silent on the changeover but you can be sure that Ian Brown will be mouthing off about it sooner rather than later. [via Rolling Stone ]

The second weekend of Coachella looks a lot like the first weekend — except for Friday night, when Blur [pictured] and the Stone Roses flop set times. The switch in set times had nothing to do with the Stone Roses' lackluster performance last Friday: The night was planned as a co-headlining situation all along. Sunny Afternoon - The Kinks Well, it was actually cloudy. Bad start. It was Sunday though, yesterday in fact. And I was lazing. Full on. Pants off. Couch on. Watching The Masters on TV. Adam Scott and Angel Cabrera battling it out for the green jacket. It's about half three in the afternoon. Tired enough [...]

![[Coachella 2013] Watch Full Sets from The xx, Blur, Vampire Weekend and Earl Sweatshirt, Highlights from Many More](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4896128_lg.jpg)
The first weekend of Coachella flew by, and there were lots of memorable moments. Hell, R. Kelly joined Phoenix onstage in a surprise moment of the festival. Given the nature of the festival, with its well-established live streaming and eager fans with cameras in hand, it wasn't long before a decent amount of videos hit the web. After the jump, you can check out a whole swath of these uploaded videos, including full sets from The xx, Earl Sweatshirt, Blur and Vampire Weekend along with shorter clips from so many more. The joys of technology.
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Exclusive Lindsey Best for AOL I had a great time at Coachella this year, but I think it may be my last. I saw Blur , Nick Cave , Tame Impala , James Blake , Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Richie Hawtin play jaw-dropping sets. I caught a surprise appearance by R. Kelly instead of Daft [...]

Who: Blur on the main stage In 3 or Fewer Words : Brilliant (add accent). Memorable because: Midway through Blur's crisp co-headlining set, front man Damon Albarn sprinted to the far end of the stage to dole out a hug to the sign-language interpreter. No translation needed — it was but one giddy moment in an hour made in heaven for Britpop fans, as the reunited Londoners brought some of the same from-across-the-pond swagger Pulp did in 2012. And unlike the nightcap of Friday's Britpop doubleheader, Albarn and crew backed it up [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , Exclusive Lindsey Best People get nostalgic over Coachella . They get to road trip, smoke, rave, drink Jagermeister in a tent in the middle of the day, glow in the dark, dress like no one's looking, watch a bunch of dads play guitars, and say things like "Who the fuck are the Stone Roses?" It may also be their first music festival, and the first time they've [...]

Tienen grandes [...]

photos by Dana (distortion) Yavin Stone Roses / How to Destroy Angels / Johnny Marr Coachella 2013 is underway and streaming live . if I had to choose a theme musically for day one (Friday), it would have to be new, solo and side projects. The NY Times agrees ... Friday's lineup was teeming with such line-jumpers, performing with various degrees of laurel-resting. Early in [...]

Thumpty-dump, thumpty-dump, thumpty-dump! Weaving through dense traffic on I-10, blazing past the gargantuan Cabazon dinosaurs and billboards championing musicians of all flavors (from the XX to Ghost BC), speeding by battalions of wind turbines is the greying asphalt that leads to Indio, CA - aka, the "out there" world of Coachella Music and Arts Festival . It's a wild sight once you're there: Ticketholders - fresh off the freeway from office cubicles and lecture halls - sport pasty complexions and keen, darting eyes. The air's filled with overheard chatter about the schedule, what kind of cute outfits everyone's packed, and whether [...]
