I was standing in front of a hot chubby guy early this morning at the church downtown waiting to vote. Thought there might be some connection with you as I kept glancing at that buldge in your khakis! If you'reout there and reading this, let me know if you were as horny as I was this [...]

The power-pop-rock band The Radio Knights released their newest EP titled Happen this past month. The two knights of the band are Nicholai Baxter on guitar and vocals and Matt Dahan on piano and lead vocals. This EP contains the uplifting and inspirational music that puts listeners at ease. On their album Happen , such songs as "Running From the World Like Horses" and "Redemption" (Not a Bob Marley cover) seem to flow from the speakers into the ears of the listener like a [...]

This shit is cool. Shaun Boothe is doing a series of these. He basically raps the biography of Bob Marley over some Marley visuals. PigeonsandPlanes

It's that time of the week again. Today, Jon let me handle Saturday covers, and as tradition would have it, it's a day late. Today's song is by Bob Marley, and it's arguably his most famous song: No Woman No Cry. RIP You all must have heard this song, unless you live in a cave on Jupiter* or something, and we all love the song. It's a classic reggae track, and [...]
Filed under: Around the World Spinner.com : It almost seems too obvious to work: reggae aesthetics spliced onto Ethiopian music. Ethiopia is, of course, the promised land of the Rastafarian beliefs at the core of the Jamaican reggae roots; the late Emperor Haile Selassie is worshiped as a... Read more

The economy is in shambles, wars rage on in Afghanistan and Iraq, and we're knee deep in an intense presidential race. Everywhere you look, politics rears its head. In an ongoing exploration of music and politics here on JamsBio, I present to you some of my favorite politically-themed album art. Arranged chronologically, this list is by no means meant to be exhaustive, rather it's a curated look at bands who proudly wear their political inclinations on their sleeves. What are some of your favorite political album covers? Create your top 5 list HERE. [...]

This post is for our very dear friend, Robbie, who at this very moment, is battling with respiratory complications due to chemo. Since we cannot be at your side this week to encourage you along, we would like to inspire you the only other way we know how – through music! While you may not be able to speak to us at this moment, we know you hear what's going on around – so listen up, Robbie – get better – we have more beers to drink before this year is done and we cannot do it without [...]

Nestled between Oakland and San Francisco is a small man made island built for the World's Fair in 1940. Being that there's less than 1,500 residents, it's the perfect site for a music festival since there's no one to disturb. With two stages, no overlapping sets and attendance of 10,000 it was a great setup for people that wanted to enjoy music without the big festival hassle. The highlights of the day was Antibalas ' high energy Fela like funk, Foals , Hot Chip and TV on the Radio . I [...]

I came across some interesting Jason Mraz covers earlier today, which helped clinch what I was going to do for the feature today. The first set up is a cover of one of Mraz's songs, I'm Yours , off of his latest album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things , by Shael Riley, a nerd-core artist out of New York City. This is an interesting cover, a little angsty sounding. It strays more into the pop-realm than I really like when it comes to songs, but it's not enough to dismiss out of hand. [...]

It seems like I haven't done a themed post in months, but I've got a little free time today, so let's break the drought. I'm not going to spend too much time working on it, (see what I did there?), but here are are a few songs about work, or lack thereof, for your Labor Day. I don't have much affection for Rush, ( Tom Sawyer makes me want to hit someone) , but Working Man rocks. The Ramones and Mekons provide a little punk, everyone loves some Bob Marley, and I included the Dan [...]
