Latitude festival have added more names to this year's line-up. Bobby Womack will play a special Sunday afternoon set, as well as Eddie Izzard being confirmed for the comedy tent. This year's Latitude Festival has confirmed a new handful of performers, including the likes of Bobby Womack, DIIV and MONEY. The soul and R&B singer released his most recent album 'The Bravest Man In The Universe' in 2012, and has now unveiled plans to be this year's Sunday afternoon performer at the Obelisk Arena. Latitude festival have revealed a host of new acts scheduled to appear at this year's event. Ticketholders to this year's Glastonbury Festival received some excellent news today. The festival announced that soul legend Bobby Womack will be performing a headlining slot on the West Holts stage. Womack will be joined Sunday evening by The Bravest Band, which features Damon Albarn and Richard Russell. This is a huge get for Glastonbury as this will be Womack's only UK festival appearance in 2013. Womack will be performing his new material as well as a set full of his greatest hits, all with his full US band. [...]

Bobby Womack released an expanded edition of his excellent Damon Albarn -produced album, The Bravest Man in the Universe , and did it so discreetly that most of you probably missed it. Today, XL Records announced the re-release in a somewhat indirect way - by dropping a video for one of the new tracks featured on the extended version. Bobby Womack 's brilliant comeback LP, Bravest Man In The Universe , has been digital reissued. The album, originally released last June, will get a deluxe re-outing along with four new tracks. The critically-acclaimed release was Womack's 27th studio release and his first containing new material since 1994. You can listen to one of the unheard tracks below, while Womack prepares to appear on ITV'S The Jonathan Ross Show tomorrow night (23 March). Order the Expanded Edition here .

Although I seriously doubt that I'll ever be 100 percent down with the idea of Internet memes launching hit singles, and I can't begin to understand the appeal of the ones behind Baauer's "Harlem Shake," I have less against the song than a cynical pop fan like me probably should. I wonder, though, if now that Billboard is factoring YouTube views into its chart-compiling criteria (a move made just in time for "Harlem Shake" to debut at No. 1), can crazy fans with a lot of excess time on their hands and a decent Internet [...]
