There's no denying that I've been CRAZY focused on a special upcoming album - an album I've, and the whole world, has been waiting for. As a result I've let a few songs slide passed my radar like the wicked Renaissance Man remix of Don't Know When and the party-ready Swims by Boddika & Joy Orbison (a 2012 song of the year nominee by many). So swerve yo. [...]
Those unfamiliar with Bill Patrick may well be closed off to a world of incredible sound. The native New Yorker living in Berlin has got supreme taste, be it in the booth of the world's best clubs, or on his Private Stock radio show playing the finest of all that isn't dance music. To celebrate life and music and other cool stuff, Bill's compiled a top 10 of his favorite tracks of 2013 thus far; and trust us, it's a really f*cking good top 10. Listen above, buy below: Patrick Gil [...]

![Think and Change [Album Review]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4864129_lg.jpg)
Boddika's music label, Nonplus+ , has just recently gone through a SERIOUS sonic migration. The group, which was established in 2009 as a drum and bass label, have released their newest album Think and Change , featuring some of my favorite artists in Europe who, for years now, have consistently remained on their own cutting edge plane of musical existence. Among these names are Pearson Sound aka. Ramadanman , Joy Orbison , Four Tet , Martyn , dBridge and more! Nonplus is the label that first made me fall in love with [...]
This weekend we're taking it way back with "Walk 4 Me," Tronco Traxx original production from 1998. After becoming acquainted with "Swims," a friend introduced me to the tune that Boddika & Joy Orbison got their vocal samples from. "Walk 4 Me" is evidence of the timeless nature of techno. It might have been produced fifteen years ago, but I don't doubt it still has enough power to ignite crowds even now. Tweet My name's Aidan. I run a small bedroom label called Long Lost Records, and make music as Soil Creep and with my band Celibacy Club . Here's my International Tapes mix. I wanted to make something fun and interesting that was a reflection of stuff I've been listening to lately. Suggested listening situations: dancing to a funeral, watching X-files on mute, waiting for a Counter Strike match to start, having just opened a window 20 degrees open. Enjoy. http://longlostrecords.com/ [...]
Brace yourselves, 'cause there's a newbie from Four Tet out there. And, bang on an off-kilt Monday cue, it's an utter banger. Quite when it was pieced together I've no idea – whether at last releasing that collaborative 123 alongside London duo RocketNumberNine what we've been banging on about incessantly for weeks now or selling out Heaven , Kieran Hebden's been a busy thing thus far this year – but we're supremely thankful For These Times is now. Featured on Al "Boddika" Green's latest compilation Think And Change [...]

Why is this mix series titled "The Bootleg Tapes"? I have been pondering this question... Wikipedia describes a "bootleg recording" as "an audio or video recording of a performance that was not officially released by the artist or under other legal authority." The article goes on to explain that "the process of making and distributing such recordings is known as bootlegging." To be honest, I did not pay for any of these tracks, and some of them have not yet been released by their respective labels. I did not receive permission from the "copyright holders" to re-distribute this content, (as [...]
![[News] Parklife Weekender announces new location, adds more artists](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4792533_lg.jpg)
After last week's announcement of Parklife Weekender's initial line-up they've followed it up 7 days later with the brand new venue location. As the festival has continued to grow in previous year's, Platt Fields park just couldn't hack the amount of people there and last year was the last time it would take place there. Rumours had been rife about where the event would take back. Wythenshawe Park last year got approval to hold gigs of a large nature so I thought that was a sure thing but it is fact Heaton Park that will hold [...]

First Disturbed Beats mix of 2013 is a deep one and comes from Ivan The Terrible (aka Ivan Allard). The Manchester based producer/DJ has notched up releases on Papa Records, Nervous Records, Satans Circus and Disco Bomb with his latest remix of The Layabouts out Friday 15th February which also includes a Directors Cut remix (Frankie Knuckles & Eric Kupper). mp3: Disturbed Beats 026 - Mixed by Ivan The Terrible [...]

Om to uger gæster en af Englands mest interessante, elektroniske navne Culture Box i København. Boddika a.k.a. Boddika & Joy Orbison – Mercy (Baddika’s VIP) [...]
Find them at basement nights and warehouse one-offs reaching from New York to Montreal and overseas to Berlin, a collect of conneisseuring clubbers. Void of tasteless vagabonds and cheap standards, looking to give credit where credit is due. The recent flood of clichéd counterfeits has made most music better left unsaid, but it's the rumours looping in our head and tugging at our ego that gives us the need to shine a light. A compulsive urge to spread from one ear to the next, to draw a line between bottle service cogs and what is honestly the cutting edge of electronic dance music. [...]

Late last year Boddika announced a forthcoming compilation on his Nonplus imprint 'Think and Change'. The album is due for release Feb 11th and you can now sample some exerts from this weighty release below.

Boddika & Joy O drop a new atmospheric, dark, and bass-heavy piece of house, which is supposed to land on the collaborative duo's forthcoming compilation album, Think and Change . As you might already know, these guys have dropped quite a few monster tracks so far, and it's just a crime to have them floating out there on the internet like miscellaneous space debris, honestly. Look for Think and Change on Nonplus Records later this year.

Check out this monster remix from Mickey Pearce on Boddika 's smash single "Soul What". A nice soulful and bass heavy tune that features chopped up vocals, haunting ghostly arpeggiated percussion and piercing offbeat kicks, with big synth stabs occasionally providing a balance in mood. Check it out! Electronic dance music, House, Electro, Disco, Progressive, Tech, Dance, club banger, DJing, Parties, EDM
