In case you didn't already know, Body Language's "You Can" is the fucking jam. In fact, it's been the jam since the Brooklyn-based four-piece released their Social Studies EP way back in October 2010. The song still hasn't left our rotation, thanks in part to genius remixes from the likes of Star Slinger . Although, we're getting a chance to bump the original again today as we watch the newly revealed official "You Can" video. It's below and it's an absolute shitload of fun.
It's been a minute since I've heard something new from one of my favorite synth-pop outfits, Body Language . But the burgeoning five-piece has put my where-are-you-guys-waaaaah thoughts to bed with this newly revealed remix of "Dreamers" by fellow Brooklynites Savoir Adore. On its own, the track is a fuzzy, shimmering, and altogether sunny piece of indie pop. But in the hands of Body Language, it turns into an even more fetching, tropical-infused jam made for late-night dance sessions. Stream the remix and the original below.

We're back in action this week with a show of our very own. Together with BirdDog Promo, we've put 8 bands we're crazy about on one bill for a night of wildness at Public Assembly. Headliner Tiny Victories will be celebrating the release of their EP, Those Of Us Still Alive , and will be supported by NewVillager , Dinowalrus , and North Highlands (among others). Of course, that's not the only great show going on this week here in New York City. Make sure to check out The [...]

Recently featured on the cover of The Deli Austin 2012 issue - distributed for free at SXSW - electro-soul outfit Body Language channel a lifetime's worth of music fandom into their own hybrid sound. Citing everyone from Bill Withers and The Beach Boys to Animal Collective as influences, the group is a fine example of the modern Brooklyn indie scene, with music-obsessed artists drawing inspiration from a variety of eclectic sources. Music fans will have a variety of opportunities to catch the band live in April, since they'll be playing a string of 3 shows in [...]

"You got red lips snakes in your eyes Long legs great thighs You got the cutest ass I've ever seen Knock me down for a six any time" In what could be one of the sexiest tunes from the iconic collective courtesy of their 1982 album "Hot Space" and a guaranteed mood setter. Freddie Mercury you are missed greatly!

Our monthly New Noise showcase once again tore through Chinatown's Gibson Guitar's Showroom last Saturday. Those lucky enough to snag tickets before they sold out enjoyed sets from two longtime ATG faves, Miami mavericks ANR and Brooklyn badasses Body Language. The room quickly filled to capacity as eager fans sipped their Tito's vodka and Starr Hill brews and forwent formalities like "dinner" or "longevity," getting their rage on properly before the clock struck nine. By the time Body Language broke out the new material—which, by the way, is so awesome I'm starting to lose [...]

ANR is more than just a Miami music-making duo, they are now a Miami music-making trio (at least live)! Off of their recent run of shows at SXSW and throughout the southeast, they'll be playing our New Noise 003 show with Body Language this Saturday, March 31st. Tickets are available HERE . We caught up with lead singer Michael-John Hancock during SXSW to discuss living in Miami, time travel and, of course, horror movies. STREAM: ANR - "New Armor" [...]

This year was my fourth South By South West and before I left for Austin, I was apprehensive about the festival's status as a relevant music event in its 26th year. Over 2,000 bands visit the Texas capital to try and advance their careers and I wondered why they bothered anymore? Was there actually worth in them playing? Any band who travel the large distance must have a profile, a buzz or are there to strike a deal on Texas soil to make it really worth their while. Bands that travel on blind faith and hope that something [...]

SXSW is like a suspension of normal reality when it comes to gigs, events and festivals. That goes some way to explaining how I ended up curating the lineup for a St. Patrick's Day gig at The Hype Machine's Hype Hotel . We had six great live sets from six of the best new bands around, free drink, free tacos, massages and photobooths. The whole thing was captured and broadcast by Livestream and the warehouse venue had lighting that came from Cirque De Soleil. Insane. Thanks to all involved for making it happen and [...]

Some record labels just nail it every single time. It's obviously rare, because scouting for the very best new music is one thing, but then actually signing them can require further fortune, as you compete with so many others, but every now and again a record label appears and it delivers band after band of awesomeness. Double Denim is one such label. They can proudly mention current hype magnets, such as Outfit and Zulu Winter , when discussing their roster, having already released the likes of Blackbird Blackbird , Body Language and [...]

Ford and Kick Kick Snare were pleased to host a showcase of emerging artists last week in Austin, and what an event! Highlighting the new 2013 Ford Escape and its incredible sound system, as well as the musical stylings of six of the country's hottest and most talented emerging artists at the legendary Stubb's BBQ, we couldn't have asked for a better line-up. Just check out the highlight reel from the day and you'll begin to see how much fun we all had. You [...]

If you were in Austin during SXSW you couldn't go many blocks without seeing Body Language on the cover of The Deli . Very cool bunch of talented artists that we were lucky to have on our stage! You may also enjoy...: Joywave Amanda Mair [...]

It's that time of year again, and with the music portion of SXSW kicking off this week we find it only fitting to highlight some of the best artists rolling through Austin this year. Our All Things Go West mixtape highlights some already-household names (Reptar, Body Language, The Big Pink) as well as others looking to make their mark on the industry in 2012 (Charli XCX, Fort Lean, Vacationer). You can check them all out individually or download the mixtape as a whole below. And for those of you hitting up SXSW this year, make sure to stop [...]

It was tough planning a line-up for the third installment of our New Noise series, especially after February's insane show with Reptar, Fort Lean and Casual Curious . This month, however, we'll be returning with a pair of co-headliners that should do just the trick. On Saturday, March 31st we'll be welcoming Body Language and ANR to the Gibson Guitars Showroom . Any of you well-versed in the ways of ATG should be no strangers to either of these bands. Miami's ANR has long been a favorite of ATG and have a proven [...]
