Jane's Addiction w. I really dunno how I feel bout the Carson Daly partnering his sittable face up with a pear of spectacles. The BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB on the other hand, performing SHUFFLE on the Daly show last PM is a must-watch. Tah.

One of our favorite artists in any genre Hotflush producer Scuba goes mental over BBC's latest single "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep". Re-fashioning as a sprawling nearly 8-minute subterranean dub techno monster, the BBC sound is transformed here in a way it hasn't quite been before. We LOVE this sound, we love every hand in this mix and would definitely be up for hearing more BBC tracks mixed in this style. Listen. Bombay Bicycle Club ( Facebook ) [...]

Bombay Bicycle Club's L.A. return appeared worth the wait as the English group brought songs from its latest, A Different Kind Of Fix , to El Rey Theatre. The packed house embraced opener Lucy Rose who has contributed vocals to Bombay's last two albums and also took the stage to perform with the band. BBC Frontman Jack Steadman could not stop smiling. Despite having his own new album on the way , underground dubstep producer Scuba recently found time to remix Bombay Bicycle Club' s track "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep". Swapping the British indie rockers' gentle guitars for a subterranean jungle beat, Scuba transforms the folksome tune into a nearly unrecognizable seven-minute lounge track. Groove along to the remix below. Bombay Bicycle Club recently kicked off a North American tour and you can find their remaining tour dates here . The band will also make [...]

A healthy-sized crowd showed up on a cold Wednesday night to hear the band from Sheffield, England play their very dreamy and very British songs. Of the many clubs to get into these days ( Bombay Bicycle Club , Gem Club , Chapel Club , Bleeding Knees Club , etc.), Slow Club is amongst the very best. Their brand of British tunes remind me of what the Beatles would sound like if they [...]

'Lights Out, Words Gone' is such a beautiful song and performed here for KCRW makes me smile massively. So pretty and delicate. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cew-nh OSp14
Happy Wednesday — there's plenty afoot tonight: ► The long-awaited second album from Meiko , "The Bright Side," will be out May 15, the L.A. songstress announced yesterday. It's the follow-up to her self-titled debut, released in 2007 and picked up by MySpace Records (R.I.P.) in '08. She returns to her home base, the Hotel Cafe, for a show tonight — maybe somebody will whip up some of those "Famous Turkey Balls" she makes in the video for "Stuck on You." ► NME darlings Bombay Bicycle Club [see our post from Feb.
