Parece que Jon Bon Jovi anda un tanto enfadado porque la candidata a la vicepresidencia para las próximas elecciones en E.E.U.U., Sarah Palin, ha usado en sus mítines música de la banda, concretamente "Who Says You Can't Go Home". Algo [...]

At this rate, if McCain does win and makes it through to his inauguration, they're only going to have the Charlie Daniels Band left to play for the party. Jon Bon Jovi has joined the chorus of acts asking the GOP to just not play their music. Sarah Palin - who's based on a character created by Tina Fey - had been using Who Says You Can't Go Home at her rallies. Which not only implies an endorsement from Bon Jovi, but is a poorly chosen song anyway: nobody is saying you can't go home, Sarah; [...]

So this is a mash up I did late last night of Yuksek's new bomb Deladeu 2 and Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name. It's also a re-edit. So it's sort of a new song! I think it's ill! And I hope you do too!!! I have nothing really more to say about it then that. It sort of speaks for it self! :D Yuksek VS Bon Jovi - Deladeu A Bad Name (GlowTape!'s Shot Through The Mash Up) [...]
Our friend Allyson over at Bring Back Glam points out that today is the 20th anniversary of Bon Jovi's hair metal masterpiece New Jersey. I'd be lying if I said I never got drunk and did a karaoke version of "Bad Medicine," so, to commemorate the event, here is Bon Jovi playing "Bad Medicine" live [...]

As Dear and the Headlights prep for the release of their sophomore album Drunk Like Bible Times, a few of the guys took some time to discuss their busy tour schedule and upcoming album with me. Below you can read my interview with bass and key player Robert Cissell , guitarist P.J. Waxman and lead vocalist and guitarist Ian Metzger . Bethany, Popwreckoning: Can you tell me a little bit about your band formation? You guys almost didn't happen, right? [...]
![Run-DMC And Slayer Will Not Be Performing Together At Next Year's Rock Hall Induction Ceremony [Not Everybody's A Winner]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1261882_lg.jpg)
Jeff Beck, Chic, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Metallica, Run-DMC, the Stooges, War, and Bobby Womack are this year's nominees for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame; five of them will be inducted next April after balloting concludes in January. This year's list of nominees is almost more notable for who isn't on it than who is; the list of eligible artists who were snubbed by the dudes who want to codify their definition of "rock and roll" includes inarguably influential artists like Slayer, the Cure, and—once again—Rush. Click through for our list of the [...]

"That kid [Luke] is incredible..." - Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi "How does a 19-year old know so much about life and loss, the trials of the working man, and blues rock? We have no idea, but we love Luke Mulholland's sound - and we're proud to call him our own." - Meredith Goldstein, Boston Globe Luke Mulholland is a guitar virtuoso who, in his late teens, has already recorded and released four full-length albums and completed several tours of the United States and Canada, opening for bands [...]
When Al Gore says Bon Jovi's coming to India, it usually happens. On the 7th of December, Mumbai will play host to Live Earth India at the Andheri Sports Complex (from where Michael Jackson once emerged out of a spaceship). Live Earth '08 will be a one venue deal as compared to last year's 24 hours, four continents, multiple cities gig. It is true that the organisers probably realised the environmental damage caused by said international concerts and therefore decided to host it in a country immune to environmental progress. To top it off, Kevin Wall, the Live [...]
So after yesterday's little cri de coeur I feel mostly fine (and thank you again, you three) but today's doctor appointment has left me a little shocked. It turns out that the annoying cough that won't go away is a symptom of a larger problem. A MUCH larger problem. No, it's not a toomah. I've been informed that I'll need to have sinus surgery. To the doctor, it's a quickie little outpatient
A few years ago (eight to be exact), long before the advent of music blogs, I put together a website to go along with my annual Christmas card. I guess it was like the online version of a Christmas letter, except that it centered almost entirely around music. As part of it, I put together a soundtrack for the year, which I explained as such... Sometime this spring, I sent out an e-mail to some pallies having everyone make a soundtrack for their lives. The rules were pick 12 songs [...]
Bon Jovi had a big hit not long ago with "Who Says You Can't Go Home," which became a crossover success on the pop and country charts. But let's be honest - that song was a calculated decision by the band (or their people) to reach out to a new audience, since their recent albums haven't been selling. Going country has reaped big rewards for Kid Rock, Michelle Branch, Sheryl Crow, and many others. The latest washed-up pop stars to go country are Jewel and Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish. An argument could be [...]

If you'll remember last Saturday's post here, some online magazine published their list of the worst songs of all time. It was a dumb list, a tedious list, and a pedantic list. Anyone could call "Who Let The Dogs Out?" the worst song of all time and feel accomplished. But that's the journalistic equivalent of calling a beach sunset beautiful, or putting Gail SImmons of Food & Wine Magazine on a list of best tits. It's also not a good method for captivating an audience. If you're going to claim songs are the worst of all time, you've [...]
![Tireless arena-rock outfit Bon Jovi is playing ... [Upcoming Concerts]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1184475_lg.jpg)
Tireless arena-rock outfit Bon Jovi is playing another free concert, this time in Philadelphia. It's in honor of the ArenaBowl XXII win of the Jon Bon Jovi-owned Philadelphia Soul, which raises two questions for me. First: The Arena Football League has been around for 22 years ? And second: Do you think people in Philadelphia are already griping about how if Jon really cared about the City Of Brotherly Love, his band would have played a free gig there before the one it pulled off in New York City last month? [ Billboard ]

Considering that Amy won't talk to me until I make this public, it's time to confess, especially since she's already upset with me for not making it to Philly for a visit yet! A few Saturdays ago, I was browsing around SoHo on a mission to find a decent size bag before heading uptown to grab drinks with a few friends later in the day when suddenly Perry, my favorite Jersey guy, was calling. His childhood best friend had extra tickets to the Bon Jovi show and wanted us there in an hour. Perry [...]
There's just something about the 80's that inspires great cover songs. So great, in fact, that this series is gonna be a two-parter. First up: Rock. All the excesses of the 80's – big hair, ten-minute guitar solos, and Jon Bon Jovi – are all well represented below by artists who aren't afraid to find the good songs amidst the novelty. And stay tuned for some 80's pop next week. Jessica Will - For Those About to Rock (AC/DC) When AC/DC titled this [...]

Bon Jovi, out of The Bon Jovis, discovered that tickets to the forthcoming free gig in Central Park were changing hands on eBay, like common shoes or unwanted kidneys. Someone talking with the authoritative voice of the band blogged about their disappointment: "There are reports in the media about tickets being scalped for... the free concert. I for one am not surprised, but our organisation is sorely disappointed." The strange twist, though? the post disappeared from the site as quickly as it appeared. Did BJ suddenly remember he loved ticket scalpers after all?
So I'm still working my way through the epic CD-ripping effort that began when I bought this sweet new Macbook back in March. (I was down for about a month there while I sat around lazily not getting the optical drive fixed after it crapped out.) I haven't bothered to pay too close attention to the sheer numbers, but I've easily passed the 1,000 threshold, with the end just maybe kinda in sight,
