She appears to have ditched the baile-funk that she is known in favour of a more explorative experimental electronic sound. Marina Gasolina - former founder and frontfigure of Brazilian baile funk outfit Bonde Do Role is releasing her debut single "Leone" (produced by Etienne Tron of Radioclit and Berlin producer Electronicat ) on her own label Anfetamina Records November 29th. Baile Funk, also called funk carioca, is a Brazilian dance music that originated in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro and is heavily influenced by 1980s Miami Bass music (like 2 Live Crew!)
