Beat Club's new video is for the instrumental song "Globe Trotters" from their Something Better maxi-single that was released this past February. In the visual directed by Zach Kranzler, they present a washed-out retro video fitting of the 80s with neon lasers and stars showing up throughout the clip. I hate to admit it, but there's something inside me calling this Mobile Blastmaster awesome. It's definitely not the name or that it looks like something one's dad might roll out to a tailgate party or the rather obsolete built in AM/FM radio. Producers, DJs, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux, also known as BoomBox have been hitting the road on their Winter tour playing their electronic blend of vintage Rock and Blues and incorporating their signature Backbeat, Psychedelia and Funky House sounds. They are also spending time in the studio putting the final touches on their third release titled “Fill In The Color.” BoomBox performs at The National on Friday, March 22.
