The debut single from Boscombe trio Bos Angeles gets us very excited. We'd be praising the lo-fi surf-guitar pop of 'Days of Youth' had it come out of Brooklyn so the fact it's homegrown makes it even better. This single has quality written though it like a stick of Bournemouth rock, with 'Beach Slalom' too good for a B-side, all scalpel-sharp guitar riffs and intense, infectious rhythms. They'll be so good in 2012, believe us.

The song's fuzzy guitars, upbeat rhythm and gloomy vocals soundtrack a trippy journey through a vividly coloured and at times menacing landscape, though the band seem unfazed.
