Dankzij een combinatie van Avonduren , een middagoptreden in de Drvkkery , een Folk festival in de Spot en een uitstapje naar FabrIQ in Den Bosch werd dit werkelijkheid. Zondag 7 maart kun je in Den Bosch terecht voor het fabrIQ - festival. In Willem 2 , de Verkadefabriek en Plein 79 kun je bands als Megafaun en Awkward I aan het werk zien. Ik zal ook zeker van de partij zijn, vooral vanwege Karl Blau, The Tallest Man on Earth en Tiny Vipers. Maar ik ben er vooral toch voor Bosque Brown . Saturday night was a good night for local music. We were fortunate enough to have a great turn out for our first showcase. First up was Ronnie Fauss, the husky voiced troubadour armed with only his guitar and harmonica he showed off his singer-songwriter chops to a crowd. Know, New Years Day gives you plenty of time to sleep off that hangover... or catch up on some sleep. We were lucky enough to get a really strong line-up for what hopefully will be a long line of shows. Chicago's My Gold Mask left a pretty good impression on the crowd that gathered for their CMJ performance last week at Europa in Brooklyn. Both Gretta Rochelle and Jack Armondo are now riding the wave of support with their upcoming EP, out late November. To tide you over is their spaced out and lush percussion filled Violet Eyes . The song is not unlike their trademark admirable experimentation and echoing progression. If this is at all a taste of what's to come on this approaching EP, this ought to be a very impressive release. [...]
