Though details are still coming in, it looks like Jon Spencer , Christina Martinez , and Solex are teaming up for an album entitled Amsterdam Throwdown, King Street Showdown , which is set to drop May 18 on Bronze Rat Records. The collaboration seems odd at first. The punk rock sounds of Spencer ( Blues Explosion , Boss Hog ) and Martinez (Boss Hog) teamed with the sampled oriented work of Solex? Whatever it ends up sounding like, we're sure it's going to be interesting, and we can't wait for more!
