Past Mistapes Alex - March 2003 I have 100’s of burnt cd’s from the last 13 or so years. Most of them haven’t seen the light of day or been listened to in over a decade. There are some that have titles, but most have nothing written on them at all, leaving me completely in the dark about what is on them or when they are from. I’ve decided to travel back in time by listening to a few at random and judge how good or (more [...]

![[Review/Listen] – Blink-182 – “Neighborhoods”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3756367_lg.jpg)
Tweet Some people might say Blink-182 ’s new album “Neighborhoods” sounds like redemption. I disagree. I think it sounds more akin to acceptance, the kind required of you as you grow up. When Travis Barker was sent to intensive care after that infamous plane crash , Mark Hoppus rushed to the hospital, but estranged friend and former bandmate Tom DeLonge sent him a letter. The letter reportedly contained two pictures, which DeLonge said in an interview [...]
O clipe tem um quê de Stay Together For The Kids + There Is , do Box Car Racer , outra banda de Tom DeLonge e [...]

Artist: Box Car Racer Album: Box Car Racer Release Date: May 21, 2002 I was about to call Box Car Racer the red-headed stepchild of Blink 182, but then I realized that all 3 side projects spawning from Blink were essentially the bastard children of the band. On the upside, Box Car Racer stayed fairly close to the Blink 182 sound, with a bit more focus and attention to detail than most of Blink's work. Core fans of Blink pay close attention to the story associated [...]

Please excuse the Status Quo-clamping headline, but for this jowl-dropping mural, I think it's entirely justified. I mean, is this not the phattest musical earth you've ever seen? I wonder what it sounds like. Probably a touch similar to the new Franz record; good in points, 'what-the-fuck' moments in others. Hmm. So I fished around (searched iTunes) for the best song with the word 'World' in its title? Idlewild's killer 'You Held The World In Your Arms', Modest Mouse's spectacular 'World At Large' and The Strokes' dazzling 'Ize Of The World' all emerged. All [...]

Soo people always freak when I buy Slim Fast. I love slim fast/boost/old people type nutritional drinks. They're like everything you need in one meal, in a little metal can. I love em. But you know what I love the most? NUTRAMENT I haven't seen this shit in like years. They don't have it in LA as far as I know. But I found it in New York, and last night at 5 am I had a breakfast/4thmeal? of champions. YES YES I DID. I [...]

I?m hardly religious. I tried to be. Didn?t really work out. I was exposed to the narrow-mindedness and the hypocrisy that showed up in the church. I know that they're not all like that and I don?t hold any ill will, but most of the time I feel that I don?t know what to believe. Everybody?s telling me what the ?right religion? is and what I have to do to be a ?good person.? People make this mold of what God should be (or what they understand Him to be) and I think that limits [...]

Yes, Mr. Thomas Matthew Delonge, singer/guitarist/songwriter of Angels and Airwaves, turned 31 today. A very special Happy Birthday goes out to him. I really fell in love with Tom's music through their last Blink LP which I picked up around March of this year. In my opinion, the more recent the Blink material, the better it got. I know a lot of people were turned off by their last CD, but it's really unstoppable, not a bad track on it. And please, any CD with Robert Smith on it is the shit. Angels and Airwaves really [...]
